Ben Nevis 17
Nose: the typical sulphuric note of the distillery is immediate as well as the meaty character with fresh bacon, leather and butter. The sherry cask brings some very ripe red oranges, raisins and rhubarb that ends in a luxurious strawberry compost . Few drops of water smoothen the sulphuric note and a subtle scent of liquorice toffee emerges.
Palate: leather and again red oranges and raisins, with a final note of tobacco leaves.
Finish: tobacco leaves and a subtle smoke, extremely long with notes of guava and liquorice.
