What if a painting can live anew? What if a portrait can tell a new story for the portrayed?
Unpredictable Ecosystem 25 is a highly complex composed images which recalls the history of Anne Boleyn by overlaying the reference from two famous artworks by Hans Holbein the Young: the portrait of the Boleyn’s court lady and a famous fresco of Henry VIII, destroyed by a fire.
The teen-like handwriting by the lady, whose face has been eroded, vandalises the painting and shifts the focus toward Anne Boleyn: the new subject of the combined image.
They live and work in Milan.
